In the run up to Easter this weekend, we’re running a special on our cute-as Easter titles. This is an in-store promo only, so you must come visit us (and what a nice day for it, too) OR give us a bell on 5224 1438.

All the books on our Easter display are 15% OFF until close, Saturday 19 April.

Don’t forget we’ll also be CLOSED on Good Friday (18th), Easter Sunday (20th) and Easter Monday (21st). Here 9:30am - 4pm on Saturday 19th and normal hours all other days this week.

Last night’s performance of ‘The Dictionary of

Last night’s performance of ‘The Dictionary of Lost Words’ at @geelongartscentre was simply remarkable! The script, the cast, and the stunningly beautiful set make this a must-see adaptation of a beloved historical novel.

We brought along copies of Pip Williams’ best selling books, the play script, and a selection of handpicked titles to complement the themes of the show so that theatre-goers had an opportunity to peruse books during intermission. Was a blast!

We are so excited to announce our first in-store event for 2025: a celebration of contemporary nature writing with award-winning authors Gregory Day (VIC) and Jane Rawson (TAS).

We will be discussing Greg Day’s poetry collection ‘Southsightedness’ (@transitloungepublishing) and Jane Rawson’s memoir ‘Human/Nature’ (@newsouthpublishing) on Wednesday 30 April, 6pm.

Jane and Greg will be in conversation with bookshop manager, Charlotte. Book sales and signings will be available on the night.

We had a superb night last night speaking with Mark Smith at Belmont Library about his latest novel, ‘Three Boys Gone.’ We gained such insight into all the ideas and questions that informed this heart-in-mouth thriller—big themes such as duty of care, responsibility (to others and to oneself), misogyny and discrimination, and the professional versus the private self.
