Favourite character and why: I loved all three main characters, Lexie, Davey and Mr Romanov, but Lexie had my heart from the moment she entered the story. Lexie is brave, resilient and spirited.
Best bit: The revelation of why Mr Romanov has been seen wandering around the commission flats at night.
Last word: This is Robert Newton’s first novel since When We Were Two. Set in Fitzroy is convincingly deals with many complex issues and the importance of dreams, in even the most dire of situations.
